Foundation History
Our
Story

The Koskovich Foundation was established in 2004. My intent was to provide Marlyce and I with a vehicle by which we could share our unwavering belief in the teachings of Jesus Christ and make known to everyone the very real salvation promised to all of us. There could be no greater contribution we could make on this earth than helping others find this path which Marlyce and I, at one time, struggled to find ourselves.
We have directed Foundation donations exclusively to Christian churches, schools and institutions that we felt would use the funds wisely in support of our beliefs. While we are not denomination-specific in our Christian focus, we strongly favor churches and schools that emphasize bible-based teachings. It is our belief that Jesus gave us the answers that we need and that they are largely contained in the bible.
We have been impressed by how effectively and powerfully some preachers can translate our Lord's message into real life. Likewise, how impactful some teachers can be in fashioning the Lord's words to guide their students and help them cultivate true lifelong character. These exceptionally talented, passionate people heading the institutions in which they serve is what we look for.
We know that "preaching" and "teaching" are not just done in words, perhaps least in words. They’re demonstrated in day-to-day life ... with actions, mentoring, and by example. It’s giving people -- especially young people -- purpose, interests, and a lust for the goodness of life itself. This is why we have directed the majority of our contributions to Christian schools that nurture the young and prepare them to take the teachings of Jesus Christ and the promise of salvation to others throughout the world.
We recognize that Jesus Himself served the hungry, the disabled, the downtrodden, the diseased and afflicted, even those who spent their lives in sin. Mar devoted countless hours reading about charities whose mission was to help sick children, wounded veterans, the disadvantaged in need of homes, the young (who are most vulnerable to the forces of evil), and so many more. Our support of these organizations is in Mar's honor.
Praise the Lord
